The Journal of Curriculum Studies in Teacher Education and Development (JCSTED), owned by the Iranian Curriculum Studies Association (ICSA), commenced its activities in September 2024. The primary goal of this journal is to improve the processes of teacher education and empowerment with a focus on the curriculum. In this regard, efforts will be made to identify the challenges and issues in teacher education and empowerment from a curricular perspective and to provide solutions for them by utilizing the capabilities of researchers.
Frequency of Publication and Language:
The Journal of Curriculum Studies in Teacher Education and Development is published quarterly. This journal accepts and reviews original scientific articles that are written in line with the journal's themes and have not been published in any journal, conference, or book.
Review, Printing, and Publication Fees:
According to the decision of the board of directors of the Iranian Curriculum Studies Association, the acceptance, review, and printing of articles are temporarily free of any charge.
Article Review Process:
Received articles are first reviewed by the journal's expert and, upon confirmation of adherence to the journal's format, are sent to the specialized editor. The specialized editor evaluates the articles based on their relevance to the journal's themes, structure, originality, quality of references, etc., and sends them to the editor-in-chief if approved. Articles that do not receive approval at this stage are returned to the author(s). The editor-in-chief collects the articles approved by the specialized editor and presents them to the editorial board meeting for determining the review process. At this meeting, reviewers for each article are selected based on criteria such as scientific expertise and experience, independence and impartiality, review history, scientific credibility, availability, and quality of previous reviews. Reviewers (at least two) evaluate the articles using the existing review form on the journal's website after receiving them. Finally, articles are either accepted or rejected after undergoing the review process.
Access Fees for Archived Articles:
The policy of this journal is to promote and disseminate science among researchers and the target community. Therefore, access to the journal's archived articles is free of charge.
Authors' and Publishers' Rights:
The Journal of Curriculum Studies in Teacher Education and Development recognizes the moral rights of authors. If any violation or fraud by the author(s) of an article concerning moral and material rights is proven, the journal publisher reserves the right to legal action.
Ethical Principles of the Journal:
Adherence to scientific ethics is the guiding principle and top priority of the Journal of Curriculum Studies in Teacher Education and Development (JCSTED). All submitted articles must be checked for plagiarism using advanced plagiarism detection software before the review process begins. This journal fully complies with the rules and regulations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) at all stages of article acceptance, review, and publication. Therefore, any violations will be addressed in accordance with the guidelines of this committee.
